Administration Food and
Drug Administration of Thailand (FDA) recently advised the public to be
cautious when using paracetamol.The reason for the abuse of common painkillers may
cause them tohospital emergency.
According Thainews, this
recommendation was made after a recentFDA report shows
that many Thai people are abusing paracetamol.This causes long-term adverse
effects of their own health.
Paracetamol is
considered a pain reliever and fever are relatively safe. Even
so, Dr. Pongpan Wongmanee, deputy secretary general of the
Thai FDA has warned that the abuse of these drugs may
damage the internal organs and make the body resistant
to these drugs.
Using long-term excessive doses of anti-inflammatory drugs do
not contain steroids such as aspirin and paracetamol can
damage .
you liver function. So said Dr Pongpan, paracetamol is
used only when necessary. Patients should consult your
doctor or pharmacist before using.
