A sense of pride has a negative impact on a diet

If a person is fully satisfied with himself and his achievements, there is a likelihood that he will opt for junk food. In this assured by experts from the University of Chicago, University of South Carolina College and Babson College Baru.

Scientists state: the pride of the work done or achieved goals weakens self-control. This increases the risk that people will give up the slack and fall through, eating unhealthy foods, despite the rigid diet. These observations were confirmed during the experiment.

The researchers gathered a group of student volunteers and offered them a choice of two gift certificates, previously inquired about a sense of pride in their accomplishments and deeds. One certificate can be used for study, and another - for entertainment.

In the end it turned out, students often feel proud of themselves, quickly choose a certificate for entertainment. By the way, an additional experiment proved that: a sense of pride pushed consumers to buy french fries instead of vegetable salad....
