Japanese researchers have found that the components contained in green tea may help prevent AIDS and even stop the spread of HIV in humans.

In laboratory tests, scientists discovered that a molecule called EGCG interacts with the receptor CD4, thus blocking the "openings" through which the virus enters the cell.
